DJ Game Rap Battle is a "song" in Loss of Control done by Game after his name is credited under "Music" by Mr. Glitch.

History[]

After freeing Mr. Glitch, he betrays his promise to help Game and the User escape from the current dimension. He grabs the word "GAME" from the credits and places in the "MUSIC" credit next to DJ (previously held by DJ Tchaïkovsky). Like with the other credits in this world, this causes the music itself to change into a funky beat. After Mr. Glitch locks the credit from being changed and leaves, Game pleads to the User to help remove it.

Suddenly, he begins singing as every object on screen starts moving to the beat. Occationally, Mr. Glitch will reappear and undo any removal by adding a bigger, more secure lock, changing the beat as he does so. The music only stops once GiGi's name is put into the GAME DESIGN slot.

Lyrics[]

(Each lyric only appears when certain actions are or aren't met, functioning identically to Game's hint dialogue in other chapters.)

I...must...sing....
User. You have to help me
You have to do your best.
So let me give you a wild wild quest

Your goal, search everywhere
And try to free my name from this nightmare
Knowing you, it's a lot to ask
But do your best 'cause I won't last
I have the fever from Bombay
The one we catch at night on Saturday
Yeah yeah. I know this song sucks
I apologize and prefer to do some beatbox.

Atomic Cucumber Hint[]

Come on, there's probably a smart way
To take control over that ludicrous gameplay
Look! There's a tiny furry kitty-cat
Just make him rhyme with the word "Attract"

Atomic Cucumber Solved[]

Great! This cat is finally moving
Thanks to this big fish you're cleverly holding
User, you should walk him in this maze
Like Hoggle did during the Bowie king days

Unscrewing Hint[]

How can we access to my name
And remove, from the music slot, the word GAME
Unscrewing this board would be a good start
Unless you know a special flipping martial art

After the block and chain is placed[]

I am doomed to remain here
Like a sad play written by Sir William Shakespeare
(O GiGi, GiGi! Wherefore art thou GiGi?)
This golden chain is linked to a padlock
Protecting and maintaining that big block
For the hundredth time, I'm sorry
But you need to get a key!

Laser Slice controller hint[]

This weird game seems broken
No button, no cross, no point, no shotgun
Fix it and ad some sort of controller
And stay away from this sharp alien laser

Laser Slice stick hint[]

These wood panels should do the trick
Unfortunately, they don't seem to stick
You know what we need? Yeah, assistance
Or something like...hmm...Oh! A substance!

After the brick wall is placed[]

Damn, we will never cross this wall
It's thick. It's Fat. It looks unbreakable
Don't let me stuck in here
With no book, no TV, no radio, no peer to peer

Hit the Road hint[]

I think this game is called a "Runner"
But this little guy doesn't look like a winner
The main problem is he can't jump
What we need is a big bump

Trivia[]

  • This song is foreshadowed in Free2Pay. When mocking the ad for Rapapa the Paper, Game mentions how much he hates hip-hop and he's glad to not be a musical game (before quickly taking that back and reminding you his is not a game). He even directly says "can you imagine me singing?"
    • More indirectly, Game verbally vents his dislike for many songs throughout the game, like the Crunchy Crunchy Cereal jingle and the Credits theme.
  • The line "wicky-wicky-wild, wild quest" is a reference to Will Smith's Wild Wild West rap.
  • The line "like Hoggle did during the Bowie King days" is a reference to the character of the same name from the film Labyrinth, which starred David Bowie as the main villain. As the name implies, the film is about a maze not unlike the one from Atomic Cucumber.
  • "O GiGi, GiGi! Wherefore art thou GiGi?" is a play on the infamous line from "O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo?" from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.
    • As Game says this line, the screen even fades to a washed out brown and the music becomes more regal.
  • In the song's subtitles, the word "add" is misspelled as "ad". However, this was fixed in the latest version of the game.
  • On the game's official soundtrack, only the instrumental version of the song is available, including all the beat changes and Game's beatboxing. This song is track 38 (labeled as a bonus track).
